Complete with lingo from back in the day, this book takes readers ringside through the life of Finn Hazelwood after the fur trade ends and his journey to find a new way to make a living begins.Finn goes from horse gathering, farming, marshalling, to ending up in a war to rescue female captives. I recommend this fun read full of adventure and daring risks to those who love this genre and even those who haven't ventured into it. A guaranteed good read

This story is very entertaining with lots of excitement and Emotional portions, also sad portions. I was glad to see Marie was ready to come back.
Interesting reading, fun, holds your interest...Ending needed more, nonetheless interesting and fun reading I don't regret getting this to read.
A very enjoyable book. The character had a very big heart and couldn't stay out of trouble all the time.

Great story telling. If you are looking for action this is your book. Main character FINN is a mountain man who is not suited for a civilized society so he is pulled into scrapes not of his own doing..
Had to read in one setting. I'm not much in writing reviews, but this book kept me on edge and could not wait patiently for the next chapter. Well written and I could not see what was coming from one chapter to the next. I have only read a couple of other books by this author, but it will not be my last. Thank you Mr. Legged for your great stories.
